One position, full context

Keep identity, units, and time attached.

Security

Resolve as-filed identifiers

Keep CUSIP and issuer descriptions alongside normalized security references and observed tickers when available.

Value

Preserve reported units

Label values and share or principal amounts according to the filing instead of flattening unlike measures.

Time

Separate the report from the filing

A reporting period and filing date answer different questions. AUMSearch keeps both visible.

Questions worth asking

Use holdings as evidence, not a complete investment thesis.

Who reported this security?

Start with one period and a normalized security candidate, then inspect the reporting managers and their source filings.

What changed?

Compare positions across complete, like-for-like periods while keeping amendments, units, and entity changes visible.

How concentrated is the report?

Calculate position or issuer concentration against the disclosed information table and label the result as derived.

What can the filing not show?

Do not infer current ownership, short exposure, trading intent, performance, or a complete portfolio from a delayed Form 13F position.

Reported holdings are observations from a dated disclosure, not proof of a manager’s current position or conviction. A careful workflow preserves the as-filed row, any normalized security match, the calculation method, and the official accession so another researcher can reproduce the interpretation.
