Definition
AUMSearch distinguishes source amendments from AUMSearch errors. Source amendments are preserved as part of filing history; normalization, mapping, or editorial errors are corrected with a record of what changed, when it changed, and which records were affected.

Until a dedicated correction form is available, use the access request form and select “Other.” Include the AUMSearch URL, source identifier, official source URL, and a concise description of the suspected issue.

Correction standard
Corrections should be source-backed, reviewable, and reversible. A request does not guarantee a change, but it should receive a documented review rather than an unexplained overwrite.
